GREG CLIFFORD – ‘Nostalgia Plays Tricks’

This is an impressively minimalist tune that packs a solid degree of impact. The thoughtful outlay of the lyrics also imbue it with a large sense of credibility. It is that immersion in the performance, combined with the ukelele play here, that bring it all across in the eventful way it is all considered. The video itself is a nice touch. What is amplified in the black and white suitably mirrors what is relayed in the contextualised manner of the song itself. There is an honest endeavour soothingly traced in the outlines here that is motioned through perfectly.
