MONSOON SEASON – ‘Day Dreaming’

The sheltered lush calling is excellent here. It is able to convey all of the warmth in the transitions remarkably well. As such the patience that is presiding over everything here shows the direction that the band are moving in. the vocals of Helen Holligan are really at home here and they light it up. What also holds its own is the way that the tempo rises in such a balanced way. The calling here is one of impressive virtue. How the softer calling is considered and imparted upon the tune is so graceful. You can’t help but admire everything on show. The ornate sensibility is what crafts this song and it does so with such a noted degree of refinement that excellent is somewhat of an understatement to describe it.
