MILTON STAR – ‘Things Fall Apart’

This an engaging video for a number of reasons and each one offers validity in their own way. the vocals are rich and deep here. They have a refined sensibility to them that are almost remedial. The Nick Cave feel here doesn’t go unnoticed either. As such the darker tone of the mood takes over in a comfortable way. An equal keel is noted in the tempo which plays out significantly well. It creates a haunting sense of mood which is further exemplified by the knowing visuals. They themselves heighten everything. The regal showing is one that comes through with a high degree of art house attributes shown, and the sepia-esque bucolic calling of the string arrangement brings a purity in the music to the fore which settles upon everything in an equally bereft manner.
