What you have here is an incredibly well constructed video. The animation is impeccably measured and brings a resounding degree of charm and worth to proceedings. It captures a noted bespoke essence that is akin in a way to Paul Simon circa ‘Graceland’ and probably wouldn’t feel out of place on that album. It is the neatness on show that is captivating. But there is also a telling leftfield virtue in the way it is all pieced together. There is character to it, and the vibrancy of the cartoon elements capture something in the sauntered tempo that is quite enigmatic. You warm to the video and what it conveys in equal measure as you do to the dandy qualities of the music. For that you appreciate everything on show just that little bit more.
