PUBLIC ACCESS TV – ‘Metropolis’

This is a very interesting video that combines a detailed degree of style with substance in a way that you don;t see too often. There is a chic calling to the way it sounds but it is also shot in a way that lays all the cards on the table. Alongside the casual demeanour is a steady degree of volume to carry the sound through. In terms of the direction there is a lot to admire. Firstly, the tracking shots merge with other cut away shots without distracting. That denotes a high degree of editorial consideration. How it plays out suitably makes use of the dreampop attributes. This helps it get going as much as the more urgent qualities do. Everything in that regard is applied with such a tidy sleight of hand that it provides it with a telling nouveau that provides it with an additional level of attractiveness that you don’t see very often.
