THE RENTALS – ‘1000 Seasons’

Opening off the back of the haze of the guitar before smartly peels away gives the track a noted kick. The sensible way that this is relayed seasons the playing. How that virtue is transitioned carries a considerable weight alongside the taut characteristics. Yet they cross the mainstream appeal with a retro rock that ably corners a telling sense of worth that is tastefully administered. It is a noted effort from the band for all the right reasons here. Some of the harboured kitsch enriches it in a delectable way that adds a hint of leftfield along with a stellar contemporary understanding of the playing’s true worth.
