Even though this comes across as raw, edgy and, in some ways, unpolished it is actually a tune with a refined calling to it. With the invigorated pull of the simple guitar and bass combo you are drawn to this. The absence of a drum section doesn’t see it lose anything for having half a percussion section. Instead there is a duality in the rhythm that filters through which catches an innovative flourish in the earnest way it is tracked. That additional touch of kitsch here removes any lethargic pretense because the finesse that curtails the delivery gives it a solid showing that impacts formidably.
